	I am a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with extensive experience at senior management level within local government, Board membership within the National Health Service, Trustee and Board membership of an environmental non-government organisation, examples of innovation and leadership. I have over 30 years local government experience, many at senior management level, mainly covering public health, pollution control, food and health and safety, enforcement, and health improvement services. I have held corporate responsibilities for health improvement, sustainable development and emergency planning. I have also been a member of a Local Health Board and Clinical Governance committee, and a Member of Health, Social Care and Well-being and Living Environment Strategic Partnerships. My most recent post was as Environmental Health Manager for a County Borough unitary authority where I was responsible for the provision of Environmental Health services with direct responsibility for over 50 staff including professional, technical and clerical officers, operating with a budget of £3 million.
